Nuevo firmware para el Popcorn Hour A200. Los chicos de Syabas por fin actualizan el firmware para el A200. Aquí dejo las notas para los curiosos. Al final de la página teneis el enlace para descargar el firmware

Me ha llegado una consulta al correo electónico que detallo en las siguientes lieneas.

Hola, tengo un popcorn hour a-200 con disco duro y despues de actualizarlo me reconoce el disco duro sata en la tv pero cuando voy a conectarlo al mac por usb no lo reconoce. El mac me da la opcion de formatearlo para crear particiones, pero si lo hago y no se en cuantas particiones debo hacerlo, el mac si que lo reconoce pero cuando lo cnecto a la tv no aparece el disco duro, ¿ que es lo que puedo hacer ? gracias.

Hoy he probado a conectar por USB, he cogido el A200, lo he llevado junto al IMAc (con Leopard 10.5.8), el IMac estaba encendido, conecto el A200 al puerto USB y al TV que tengo para probaral lado del IMac. En el TV he visto un mesaje de alerta indicando que no tengo acceso al disco duro, esto es normal ya que está conectado por USB al IMac. En el IMac ha salido un error que indica que debo reiniciar, no me deja hacer nada mas y tengo que pulsar el boton para apagar. Aago el IMac y el A200. Vuelvo a encender el IMac, despues de arrancar enciendo el A200 y todo parace normal, funciona y tengo dos partinciones del A200 disponibles, pero en ninguna tengo toda la información de mi A200.

Para ver que ocurre arranco el software que ExtFSManager desde preferencias del sistema, veo el disco duro instalado en el A200, es un Hitachi que comenté en la lista de compatibilidades.

Como veis, solamente ha montado dos particiones, despues de unos minutos la particion Untitled 4 la ha montado, ver siguiente imagen, yo no he hecho nada, solo esperar, mientras escribo estas lineas ha montado la partición, salen un par de ventanas de aviso que no puedo montar la particion (debe de ser la que queda) y este es el resultado

Ahora el problema que tengo es que no tengo perimiso de escritura en la partición, para dar permisos vuelvo a ExtFSManager, haces click en Options

Marcar, Ignore Permissions

Para que los cambias sean validos tienes que desmontar la unidad y volver a montar como indica el propio programa

Para aceptar cambios, desmontar y montar la unidad

Sale el siguiente error al montar la unidad de nuevo:

Apago el A200 y vuelvo a encender en el TV para comprobar el contenido, todo correcto, conecto otra vez con el IMac, la particion marcada con UNTITLED 4 no está montada espero unos minutos para ver si el sistema la monta como hizo anteriormente. Como no hace nada decido montar la particion, sale el mismo error. Ahora solo queda apagar el IMac y reiniciar con el A200 conectado (esto en windows si funciona, veremos si con el Mac ocurre lo mismo). Despues de reinicar el mismo error al montar la unidad. Vuelvo al A200 que tengo a la vez conectado en el TV y hago click en el mensaje que indica que no tengo acceso al disco, en la parte superior izquierda pone algo como que la unidad externo usb está montada (no he tenido tiempo de leer completamente). Tal vez este es el problema, vuelva a montar la unidad y el mismo error. Busco información en el foro y de repente el error comentado al principio y la particion es otra vez visible y esta montada. Por desgracia sigo sin tener permiso de escritura. Buscaré otro software para ver las particiones ext3 en mi IMac, de momento a través de la red como estaba haciendo hasta ahora.

Pruebas realizadas por mi: (15 de marzo de 2010)

USB Wifi:

- Antena de Xtreamer: el adaptador USB Wifi del Xtreamer funciona correctamente, detecta las redes sin problemas y toma IP con DCHP auto en el router Zyxel de Telefonica (el blanco). Ver antena Xtreamer

Antena USB-Wifi Xtreamer conectada en el A200

Probado reproducir desde la red compatiendo ficheros desde el IMac sin problemas, desde el eTRAYz sin problemas, desde Macbook con windows XP (con bootcamp) sin problemas.

Probado copiando ficheros al disco duro interno por la red desde IMac, eTRAYz y Macbook con windows XP funciona correctamente con NFS.

Si alguien quiere que realice alguna prueba concreta solo tiene que pedir

Disco Duro interno:

- Hitachi modelo H3D10003272S (P/N: 0F10383) de 1 Tera de capacidad (HDS721010CLA332, Type DS7SAC100) y 32MB buffer. El A200 detecta el disco sin problemas, instalo las aplicaciones NMT y el firmware del 24-Feb-2010.
Primer actualicé el firmware desde la memoria USB buscando el fichero usbupdate.html y despues desde el Menu de mantenimiento instalé las aplicaciones NMT

Sigue estas instrucciones para recuperar el Popcorn Hour A-200 si la actualización del firmware falla.

Este método sólo es aplicable para el Popcorn Hour A-200.

1. Descarga el archivo zip siguiente:
files.syabas.com/popcornhour/download/A200_recovery_091114.zip (36,2 MB)
2. Descomprimir el contenido del fichero bajado en el directorio raiz de una memoria USB que esté formateada en el sistema de archivos FAT32 o NTFS.
3. Conecta el Popcorn Hour A-200 a un televisor a través de los componentes,  compuesto o HDMI.
4. Enciende el Popcorn Hour A-200.
5. Cuando veas un fondo azul indicando “Firmware recovery” introduces la memoria USB
6. Una vez conectada la memoria USB comienza la recuperación del firmware.
7. Despues de la recuperación con exito del A200 queda con el firmwar 02-01-091114-19-POP-411-000 y ya puedes instalar la ultima versión de firmware

Si los pasos del 1 a 7 no llegan a buen puerto, vamos que no se recupera, desde de seguir estos otros:

A. Apagua el Popcorn Hour A-200.
B. Insertar jumper (en esta imagen puedes ver dondo colocar el jumper)

C. Conectar la memoria USB utilizada anteriormente, con los mismos ficheros que habias bajado, conecta los cables al TV y siguimos los pasos anteriores del 1 al 7, hacemos lo mismo de antes pero con el jumper puesto
D. Enciende el Popcorn Hour A-200
E. Sige los pasos anteriores del 5 al 7.
F. Después de finalizar el preceso de actulización tienes que apagar la unidad cuando ponga ““rebooting in 10 seconds” en la pantalla. No dejes que reinicia con el jumper puesto
G. Retirar el jumper.
H. Quitar la memoria USB.
I. El Popcorn Hour se está utilizando al firmware 02-01-091114-19-POP-411-000
J. Conecta los cables como quieras y a disfrutar del A200.

Popcorn Hour A-200 es un reproductor que presenta compatibilidad con casi todos los formatos, pasando a ser este la evolución del modelo A-110.

El Popcorn Hour A-200 viene con la posibilidad de conectarse a tu red local y a Internet mediante puerto ethernet además de poder hacerlo mediante WiFi si le añadimos un adaptador USB (opcional en la compra)

Tenemos la posibilidad de insertarle un disco duro de 3.5 o de 2.5 pulgadas con interfaz SATA, así como una serie de memorias y demás discos duros vía USB.
